YFU office in Kazakhstan was founded in 1996 by Kadisha Dairova
who is at the present time a Counselor in charge of Education, Culture
and Press and Representative of the Ministry of Education and Science
of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Embassy of the Republic of
Kazakhstan in the US and Canada
Since 1999 the
National Director is Gulnar Seisenbayeva.
YFU-Kazakhstan

During years of work YFU-Kazakhstan had more than 150 participants
from Astana, Almaty, Atyrau, Semipalatinsk, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kostanai,
Pavlodar, Karaganda, Zhezkazgan, Uralsk, Zhambyl and other cities.
Participants of the Freedom Support Act(FSA) program were sponsored
by US Government through United Stated Information Service(USIS).
Several participants were awarded with scholarships of ExxonMobil
and Phillip Morris companies.
