UNIVERSITY PREPARATION
Secondary education attestat of Kazakhstan and other CIS countries can not be considered as equivalent to such attestats in Great Britain and other English speaking countries. Therefore, perspective students are not able to enroll to university directly after school
In order to make students’ education closer to their standards, student can be offered to study at A-level in private education establishments, enter the colleges, or to enroll to University Foundation Programs within some universities. The main aims of the named programs are to prepare potential students for their exams and to be succeeded in their university acceptance with high results. Perspective students will be accepted to the university depending on exams results, therefore higher results give better opportunities to get into top university. Also, university will accept a student depending on its A-level and IB final results. These exams can be taken both in schools and colleges.
As it was mentioned before, another possibility is to complete Foundation Program is faster program to get into university just by completing 1 year program.
A-LEVEL
A-Level (Advanced Level) was invented especially for school pupils to prepare them to enroll to British Universities. After several years, A- level gained world wide acceptance and general qualification to enroll not only to British universities but also to other countries’ education establishments. In case student passed his/her exams and gained high results, he/she has got great chances to get into top universities such as University of Oxford, Cambridge University, Imperial College London and LSE
Prior to starting A-level course, student should clearly determine what is his actual need, and depending on his choice he will pass exams
In order to get A-level certificate, student will have to pass from 3 to 5 exams
The range of studying varies depending on the area of student’s studies:
Programme 1
Math and technical sciences
Prepares for education further specialists: architecture, computer science, electronics, civil engineering, geology, mathematics and physics
Programme 2
Biology, chemistry, medicine, physiotherapy, physiology, veterinary, zoology
Programme 3
Public and humanitarian sciences

Requirements:
International Baccalaureate programs is similar to attestat which pupils get after finishing their school. After some time passed, IB also gained world wide acceptance.
IB program is two year program where the main concept is that students will be taught 6 subjects which student will choose by him. All subjects are taught in two levels Higher and Standard level, where is former offers 250 hours lesson and latter around 150. In higher level student will study three or four subjects which required getting into university.

FOUNDATION
Another alternative way to enroll to British university is to complete foundation level, especially invented for those who came from non British environment. Foundation Program is organized within college and universities and in most cases it guarantees the acceptance from the partner university. Foundation Program gives basic and appropriate information about subjects which is crucial in their university life. After completing this course student also will have appropriate level of English and enhances students’ intellectual skills
